Lamellar Biomedical Ltd enjoys the support of an independent Scientific Advisory Board of eminent clinicians and scientists chaired by Professor, Sir John Arbuthnott, whose advice guides the Company’s research activities.
Sir John Arbuthnott is a distinguished microbiologist, and a former Chairman of the Greater Glasgow and Clyde Health Board and Principal and Vice Chancellor of Strathclyde University. Educated at Glasgow University (BSc, PhD) and Trinity College, Dublin (MA, ScD), he was made a Knight Bachelor for services to education in 1998. Whilst Principal and Vice-Chancellor of Strathclyde University he chaired the National Review of Resource Allocation in December 1997, the principal task of which was to conduct an independent review of the way in which National Health Service funding is allocated annually to the Scottish NHS Boards. |
